INVENTORY DISPLAY

Your ship's inventory is configured in the before you launch. This inventory is then accessible through the Inventory display while in flight.

To toggle the Inventory display

Each item in the Inventory display has a corresponding number. To use an item, press its number on the keyboard. If the item is already mounted, it will immediately be available for use.

Some items, however, are stored in a cargo bay. If you find you are frequently running out of ammunition or booster fuel, carry spare ammunition or fuel in your cargo bays and they'll automatically reload when you run out.

Other items in your cargo bays must be manually mounted. To mount such an item, press its corresponding number, wait for a few moments as it loads onto a mount point, and then press its corresponding key to actually use it.

An example is the tower. You need to select the tower to mount it, and then press D to deploy it when you are in the location where you want it.
